Beltane (or Boaltinn in Manx Gaelic) is the Celtic fire festival held on mayday on the Isle of Man (and also Scotland and Ireland). This festival brings in the summer and celebrates fertility and union. Spring shows us that life is bursting from everywhere. Beltane is celebrated by dancing the maypole (which represents the weaving and interconnectedness of our relationships), burning huge bonfires and dancing with fire, sleeping outdoors, and getting back down to nature.
